Omar Apollo Returns With New Single "Imagine U"

Omar Apollo is back with his first single of 2020. Following up his Friends Project last year, “Imagine U'' is a groovy love song co-produced by Kenny Beats. This is their second collaboration following up last year’s “Hit Me Up” single, which also featured vocals from Dominic Fike. “Imagine U” is a song that shows off the young artist's ability to create catchy hooks and infectious instrumentals. Born and raised in Indiana, Apollo received his first guitar as a teenager and in a couple years he was recording his own songs in his bedroom. Since then he has released 2 projects and with the arrival of “Imagine U”, a third one seems to be on it’s way. 

“Imagine U” starts off with a bouncy bassline that will immediately draw you in. The drums have a funk-feeling to them and fit perfectly next to the melody Apollo crafts for this excellent instrumental. Apollo breaks it all down during a welcomed bridge that shows his vocal range and versatility of the instrumental. There are guitar licks sprinkled throughout this track that adds depth to the full song, just a little extra spice that gives the record a little more emotion and personality.
